Our client is looking for a confident and experienced Finance Assistant to support the Finance & Administration Director. This is a varied, hands on role offering genuine autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to play an important part in the ongoing success of this successful business based in Witney. Initially offering 15 hours per week, there is potential for the hours to increase over time. Key responsibilities - Managing sales and purchase ledger - Raising month-end and pro-forma invoices - Monitoring and proactively chasing outstanding debts - Processing expenses and reconciling credit cards and bank accounts - Creating and maintaining customer and supplier accounts - Preparing VAT returns and supporting year-end accounts - Assisting with management accounts and weekly payment runs - Handling supplier and customer queries - Providing holiday cover and supporting general administration About you The successful candidate will have: - Proven bookkeeping/finance experience - Strong Xero and Excel skills - Sales and Purchase Ledger experience - Experience with VAT returns and year-end preparation - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills - The ability to work independently and use initiative - Strong communication and administration skills If you're looking for a flexible, part-time role with real responsibility and the opportunity to share in the success of the business, this could be an excellent opportunity.
