We're on the lookout for a Stores & Depot Assistant to join our well-established client based in Oxford working on their Operations team

About the role:

• Supporting Motor Transport and Fleet Services by providing an effective stores operations.
• The maintenance of all the facilities at motor transport workshop, including the stores, needs to be kept in a safe and tidy condition.
• To restrict and control access to the depot from all unauthorised people.
• When necessary to undertake the washing and cleaning of all vehicles operated by ODS.
• Always ensuring the security of the stores and yard areas within the depot.
• Supervision of all additional operatives undertaking specific tasks.
• The administration of all stores counter transactions for both stock and direct purchases.
• Assisting with the maintenance and review of stock levels against varying workshop needs including maintaining an accurate stock ledger.
• Assisting with regular stock checks including the upkeep/maintenance of all stocks held, with reference to the security of goods at all times.

About You:

• Administrative/record keeping experience
• Experience of operating plant machinery
• Ability to work under pressure
• Physically able to lift heavy materials
• Able to climb stairs/stepladders to take materials off shelves
• Flexible attitude to work
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Able to drive a forklift truck

Working Hours:

Start and Finish time Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

Salary £14.94
