We are recruiting for an experienced Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join a busy property and maintenance environment, leading a team responsible for the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will provide direction and technical support to operatives, resolve complex issues, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, and make sure customers receive a high level of service.
Building trades
- Roofing and tiling
- Plastering and decorating
- Brickwork and groundwork
Key responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team of trade operatives, providing guidance, coaching and technical advice.
- Monitoring the quality, safety and timely completion of responsive repairs.
- Carrying out site visits and inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Managing workloads and resources effectively, particularly during seasonal and weather-related peaks.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring relevant IT systems are kept up to date.
- Participating in an out-of-hours emergency standby rota.
The ideal applicant will have
- Proven experience in a similar repairs, maintenance or building services leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of building repairs and maintenance.
- Experience managing, coaching or mentoring trade teams.
- A strong understanding of health & safety within building and construction, ideally with SMSTS.
- A full UK driving licence.
