The Recruitment Group is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for straightforward night trunking work based in Birmingham. This position involves refrigerated trunking between locations, with no loading or unloading required. It would suit a reliable Class 1 Driver looking for uncomplicated A-to-B driving and regular evening or night starts.
Key responsibilities
- Completing refrigerated Class 1 trunking runs
- Driving safely between designated collection and delivery points
- Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Completing all required paperwork accurately
- Following planned routes and delivery schedules
- Complying with drivers' hours and Working Time regulations
- Reporting any delays, defects or incidents promptly
- Maintaining professional standards while representing the client
The ideal candidate
- A valid UK LGV/HGV Class 1 licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- A good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
