Our client, a well-established organisation within the warehousing and logistics sector, is looking to recruit an experienced MHE Instructor to join their team.

This is a key role responsible for delivering high-quality training and ensuring colleagues are competent, confident and safe when operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within a busy warehouse environment.

You will work closely with warehouse management and operational teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver MHE training, assessments and refresher training to new and existing employees.
  • Train operators in the safe and correct use of relevant warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct practical and theoretical assessments in line with company and industry standards.
  • Ensure all MHE operators are appropriately trained, assessed and authorised before operating equipment.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certificates and competency documentation.
  • Identify additional training and development requirements across the operation.
  • Deliver refresher training and reassessments when required.
  • Monitor operator performance and provide coaching where necessary.
  • Work closely with management to ensure MHE training requirements are met.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure training is delivered in accordance with current legislation, company policies and recognised industry standards.
  • Support investigations and retraining where unsafe MHE practices are identified.
  • Keep up to date with changes to legislation, equipment and best-practice training methods.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience as an MHE Instructor, FLT Instructor or Warehouse Trainer, ideally within a busy warehouse or distribution environment.
