We are looking for a reliable Joiner / Handyperson to support site maintenance, fittings, repairs, and general upkeep duties within a busy commercial and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of joinery and maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Pay Rate: £12.71 to £14.50 depending on experience
Hours: 7:45 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:45 to 15:15 Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general joinery work including repairs, fitting, assembly, and installation
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, patch repairs, fixing doors, locks, shelving, and fixtures
- Assemble displays, furniture, and shopfitting components where required
- Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Support site moves, installations, and workspace alterations
- Maintain clean and safe working areas at all times
- Report defects, damages, or health & safety concerns promptly
- Work independently or as part of a maintenance/facilities team
- Assist with other general site duties as required
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Joiner, Carpenter, Handyperson, Maintenance Operative, or similar role
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use a range of hand and power tools
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance
- Ability to work from instructions and meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
