We are looking for a reliable Joiner / Handyperson to support site maintenance, fittings, repairs, and general upkeep duties within a busy commercial and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of joinery and maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Pay Rate: £12.71 to £14.50 depending on experience

Hours: 7:45 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:45 to 15:15 Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general joinery work including repairs, fitting, assembly, and installation
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting, patch repairs, fixing doors, locks, shelving, and fixtures
  • Assemble displays, furniture, and shopfitting components where required
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Support site moves, installations, and workspace alterations
  • Maintain clean and safe working areas at all times
  • Report defects, damages, or health & safety concerns promptly
  • Work independently or as part of a maintenance/facilities team
  • Assist with other general site duties as required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Joiner, Carpenter, Handyperson, Maintenance Operative, or similar role
  • Good practical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use a range of hand and power tools
  • Basic knowledge of general building maintenance
  • Ability to work from instructions and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
