Requirements
- Previous experience of 1 year in an IT Technician or IT Support role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience supporting hardware, software and networks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.
- Practical understanding of data systems, synchronisation and infrastructure monitoring.
- A flexible approach and willingness to work across both warehouse and office environments.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous.
- Experience with RF/handheld scanners would be advantageous.
- Experience with barcode and label printing technology would be advantageous.
- Experience with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID would be advantageous.
- Experience with networking, Wi-Fi and switches would be advantageous.
- Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems would be advantageous.
- Experience with CCTV or access-control systems would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor the warehouse management system, ensuring smooth operation and data accuracy.
- Provide first and second-line IT support to warehouse and office-based users.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Set up, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment.
- Support warehouse technology including handheld scanners, barcode equipment, label printers and tablets.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi and network connectivity across the warehouse.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions and access.
- Install and maintain software, applications and system updates.
- Assist with the onboarding and IT setup of new employees.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.
- Liaise with external IT providers and suppliers where required.
- Carry out routine maintenance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Provide technical assistance during system outages and operational issues.
- Ensure all IT support is delivered in line with company security and data protection procedures.
