Overview
Bartender position responsibilities include stock counting and ordering, providing a pleasant drinking experience to customers, serving drinks with a clean and sanitary bar area, attending to the detail and presentation of each order, preparing and maintaining ingredients by following recipes, and adhering to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. The role also involves dating, labeling, and rotating beverage items, coordinating daily bar supply inventory and submitting orders to the supervisor, assisting with receipt of deliveries, contributing to daily, holiday, and themed drink menus in collaboration with the supervisor, ensuring smooth bar operations in the supervisor’s absence, completing daily and weekly cleaning, orienting new employees, listening to customer complaints and suggestions, resolving complaints, and instructing personnel in the use of new equipment and cleaning methods to maintain an efficient work area.
Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain ingredients by following recipes
- Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; manage dating, labeling, and rotation of beverage items
- Coordinate daily supply inventory for the bar and submit orders to the supervisor; assist with receipt of deliveries
- Contribute to daily, holiday, and themed drink menus in collaboration with the supervisor
- Ensure smooth operation of bar services in the absence of the supervisor
- Complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules
- Assist with orienting new employees to their work area
- Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolve complaints
- Instruct personnel in the use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provide efficient maintenance of the work area
