Position Overview
The Senior Director, Global Value & Access (GV&A) Capabilities & Market Liaison is responsible for defining and advancing GV&A capabilities to support high-quality, consistent access execution across markets. As a member of the GV&A Leadership Team, this role represents GV&A across ACE-MM and ICR Leadership Teams, ensuring alignment between global strategy and regional execution. The role operates through matrix leadership and cross-functional influence to enable scalable capability development, execution excellence and evolution of the value and access function to meet the changing needs of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Global GV&A Strategy & Leadership: Contribute to development and execution of GV&A strategy. Represent GV&A within ACE-MM and ICR Leadership Teams, including Regional External Affairs Committees. Provide strategic input to senior leadership, incorporating market insights. Elevate perspectives of diverse and non-core markets.
- Capability Development & Enablement: Define and lead global GV&A capability strategy. Develop and implement frameworks, tools, and playbooks to support best practice sharing. Expand capability platforms including “Value Shaping and Realisation”. Deliver structured training programmes for affiliates.
- Innovation & Future Capability Readiness: Advance innovative approaches including alternative access pathways. Support development of digital and AI-enabled tools. Monitor external trends and assess organisational implications. Translate future capability needs into actionable plans.
- Market Liaison & Cross-Functional Integration: Act as key interface between global GV&A and regions (ACEMM and ICR). Drive alignment across therapy areas and execution leads. Support implementation of global initiatives including MFN. Partner with Commercial, Medical, Government Affairs and Public Affairs.
- Matrix Leadership & Execution Excellence: Lead complex cross-functional initiatives. Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Drive prioritisation and focus on high-value activities. Ensure delivery aligned to GV&A and enterprise objectives.

- Significant experience in Global or Regional Value & Access / Market Access.
- Experience leading cross-functional, multi-region initiatives.
- Strong understanding of pricing, reimbursement, and access environments.
- In-market and global or regional experience.

The role is based in UK. We are pleased to share that Gilead’s Stockley Park and Holborn offices are planning to come together at a new London headquarters at 1 Triton Square, NW1, from approximately Q2 2027. Applicants should consider this planned location change when applying for this role. Gilead operates a flexible working policy, offering a balanced approach with two days of remote working and three days working onsite.
