This Manager, Global Medical Affairs GMAVI Execution Team role will report to the Executive Director of the GMAVI Execution Team, and support both HIV and LIVE Execution Teams in the delivery of strategically aligned activities and other relevant projects and ensure consistency and efficiency in the delivery of all relevant departmental operations and processes.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
  • Working with the direction of the GMAVI Execution teams, independently manages, facilitates, or provides support to:
  • Assistance in the core GMAVI Execution Team roles and responsibilities (including but not limited to TA insights report generation, POC for GMA TA teams, etc)
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functionals Execution Team Leads to provide country support for insights generation and dissemination
  • Assisting in the evolving Execution Team processes and contributing to the development of new platforms and AI supported tools
  • Assisting in yearly budget management, including contract drafting and execution, purchase order creation and tracking, and OPEX management
  • Assistance in key time sensitive deliverables (including but not limited to weekly country notifications, quarterly management of KOL engagements on Kwello portal, and coordination of other global with local communications)
  • Assistance in managing the GMA SharePoint and other similar technical resources utilised by GMA and Local MA teams
  • Assisting GMAVI Execution Team Leads with their additional responsibilities such as development, review and preferably ABPI approval of GMA educational materials and resources, across multiple TAs (including, but not limited to slide decks, infographics, videos, digital resources, etc.)
  • Attend HIV/LIVE congresses as assigned, and provide support for key conference activities within the remit of Execution Team role
  • Assistance in organising regular touchpoints for GMAVI Execution Teams
  • Collaboratively work with Gilead personnel across multiple functional areas, including Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology, Regulatory, and Legal/Business Conduct
Specific Education and Experience Requirements:
  • PharmD, Ph.D., MD, DO, MPH with 0-2 years' experience, or other advanced health-related or life science degree with required experience (MS +4 years; BS +6 years)
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, particularly within Medical Affairs
  • Relevant experience in HIV treatment/HIV prevention, infectious diseases and inflammation, therapeutic areas preferred
  • Experience in medical communications around clinical data, and developing educational resources such as slide decks, infographics, videos, and other materials
  • Preferential experience as an ABPI medical reviewer and Final Signatory
  • Demonstrated success in working closely with management to develop effective and creative solutions to complex problems and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Committed to continuing education to maintain a knowledge base and expand disease-state knowledge.
  • Ability to utilize moderately complex scientific resources across a variety of different settings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and experience in working on cross-functional teams.
