Overview
In this role, you will shape Gilead’s data, reporting, and analytics foundation across the SAP ecosystem to enable real-time insights and AI-driven decision making. You’ll partner with business and IT leadership to define strategy, architecture, and governance, delivering scalable analytics platforms and enterprise reporting. You will lead modernizing legacy reporting into SAP’s next‑generation analytics stack and drive value realization from analytics initiatives. This is a strategic, cross‑functional leadership role with a strong focus on digital transformation and data governance.

Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise strategy for SAP BDC, Reporting, Analytics, and SAP BTP capabilities
- Build a future-state data and analytics architecture enabling real-time insights and AI-driven automation
- Standardize enterprise reporting and analytics platforms across functions
- Roadmap modernization of legacy reporting to SAP’s analytics ecosystem
- Align data and analytics strategies with enterprise digital transformation objectives
- Lead SAP BDC capabilities, data products, semantic models, and governed data assets
- Ensure trusted data across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Commercial, HR, and R&D
- Drive adoption of SAP data fabric and self-service analytics
- Deliver enterprise reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance management solutions
- Lead SAC, Datasphere, and other reporting platforms; define analytics requirements with stakeholders
- Develop SAP BTP strategy, extensions, integrations, workflows, and automation solutions
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and enterprise standards
- Identify and enable AI, ML, and intelligent automation opportunities with SAP Joule and related tools
- Oversee governance for portfolio management, architecture reviews, and solution approvals
- Manage budgets, scope, risks, timelines, and resources for initiatives
- Drive user adoption through change management and business readiness
- Ensure data governance, privacy, security, quality, lineage, and lifecycle management
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years (or advanced degree with 12+ years) in Enterprise Data, Analytics, SAP, or Digital Platform leadership
- Deep expertise in SAP BDC, Datasphere, SAC, S/4HANA, and SAP BTP
- Proven track record of defining enterprise data strategies and implementing cloud analytics platforms
- Strong knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data integration
- Experience leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs with analytics components
- Proven delivery of executive reporting, BI, and enterprise analytics solutions
- Experience with AI, ML, predictive analytics, and automation technologies
- Strong cloud, integration, API management, and enterprise tech ecosystem understanding
- Experience partnering with executive stakeholders and influencing tech decisions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management; ability to lead global teams
