Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead’s products and services to a defined customer base.
- Generate and grow sales, consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within the assigned geographic area, including in‑person representation and face‑to‑face meetings with healthcare practitioners.
- Establish strong working relationships with healthcare practices to provide disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education.
- Synthesize complex clinical concepts to appropriate literacy and conceptual levels for diverse audiences.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals, monitor sales progress, and create action plans to achieve those goals.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
- Report adverse events to Gilead’s Drug Safety and Public Health department and other internal departments as required.
- Perform all administrative functions required of the position, including reporting call activity, submitting expenses, and maintaining accurate records.
- Use advanced influencing and relationship‑building expertise to achieve sales outcomes.
- Adhere to regulatory agency, state, federal and company policies, procedures, and business ethics, and demonstrate Gilead's company values of Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, and Integrity.
Qualifications
- 6+ years with BS/BA OR 4+ years with MS/MA.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to engage in travel as reasonably required, including regular travel within the assigned area.
- Ability to satisfy onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners within the assigned area.
- Knowledge of compliance, including Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, FDA regulations, Anti‑Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, PhRMA, Corporate Code of Business Conduct and OIG compliance guidance.
- Capacity to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and a track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives.

- BA or BS degree.
- Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills focused on highly competitive markets.
- Proven and consistent track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives, preferably in specialty markets.
- Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.

Benefits
The salary range for this position is: $133,195.00 – $172,370.00. The role may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package that includes company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
