Gilead has been a leader in HIV treatment and prevention for over 30 years. As we expand into new disease areas and markets, we are transforming how we manage Indirect Procurement. Our focus is on simplifying processes and enhancing user experience. We aim to partner with stakeholders to foster innovation, drive results, reshape supplier strategies, and cultivate a diverse, solution-oriented culture. This role is pivotal in advancing Gilead’s procurement transformation, focusing on the Global Buying Experience Program and improving overall user experience through process and solution excellence.
Responsibilities include project alignment, organizational readiness, stakeholder engagement, training, performance analysis, and communication. The role requires collaboration with global stakeholders across departments like Finance, R&D, Commercial, and IT, guiding regional change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Solutions Excellence: Drive digital transformation initiatives, identify innovative technologies (AI, machine learning, automation), and develop multi-year digital roadmaps in collaboration with IT and other departments.
- Technology Integration & Operations: Oversee integration and optimization of ERP systems, procurement solutions, and digital tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strategic relationships, manage program execution, and influence senior management across the organization.
- Project & Change Management: Lead project management and change initiatives, including activity planning, resource management, and impact assessments.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance performance metrics, streamline processes, and implement innovations for greater business impact.
- Supplier Excellence: Support end-to-end supplier lifecycle processes, including risk assessment, onboarding, due diligence, and offboarding.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive relevant experience, preferably in program or change management and source-to-pay processes.
- Deep understanding of procurement principles, industry standards, and technology platforms.
- Proven success in cross-functional process reengineering and project management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean principles (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; MBA preferred.
