Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Kite Commercial, the General Manager, ACE Commercial is the Head of Cell Therapy (Kite) for Australia, Canada, and Europe (ACE). This role serves as a key member of the Global Commercial Leadership Team and provides the strategic vision and leadership necessary to develop and execute the commercial strategy, accelerating the growth of Kite's business while ensuring timely and appropriate patient access to transformative CAR-T therapies.
The General Manager is responsible for delivering strong sales and revenue growth, optimizing market access and pricing strategies, and ensuring brand leadership in a rapidly evolving, highly competitive cell therapy landscape within ACE. This role requires a deep understanding of hematology/oncology and cell therapy markets, as well as the ability to respond proactively to competition and shape external views of CAR-T to support Kite's long-term success.
This position is based at Kite's International Headquarters which will be in 1 Triton Square, London Euston starting in Q2 2027. Until that time, this role will be based at the Stockley Park location and expected to maintain a consistent on-site presence of three days per week with two days' working remotely. Applicants should consider this planned location change when applying for this role.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Drive Sales & Revenue Growth - Develop and execute commercial strategies to maximize sales performance, revenue generation, and patient access to Kite's cell therapies across ACE.
- Head the ACE Pricing Committee - Decision authority on regional Market Access & Pricing Strategies: Ensure competitive pricing and reimbursement strategies that support both financial sustainability and patient access.
- Respond to Competitive Market Dynamics - Continuously assess and adapt to competitive threats, leveraging market intelligence to refine Kite's commercial approach and maintain leadership in cell therapy.
- Optimize Commercial Investments - Decision authority for Kite's Commercial Investments in ACE, including market expansion efforts to enhance Kite's footprint in the region.
- Shape External Policy & Advocacy - Engage with policymakers, payers, KOLs, and patient advocacy groups to develop key relationships, influence the evolving cell therapy landscape and ensure broad patient access within ACE.
- Strengthen Commercial Capabilities - Enhance Kite's performance within the ACE affiliates by setting the long-range business plans and forecasts to sustain performance while preparing the org for future launches.
- Foster a Winning, Collaborative Culture - Lead the ACE commercial team in building a high-performing, competitive, and collaborative organization that aligns with Kite's values and mission.
- Champion Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work seamlessly with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Regulatory, Technical Operations, and Gilead shared resources to achieve business objectives and operational excellence.

Key Competencies
The ideal candidate possesses the following key competencies:
- Commercial Leadership in Hematology/Oncology - Deep expertise in hematology/oncology is necessary, with a strong understanding of clinical, regulatory, and commercial market dynamics. Strong knowledge of European markets and experience in cell therapy, Multiple Myeloma and Lymphoma is a plus.
- Driving Sales, Revenue, and Market Access - Proven success in developing and executing commercialization strategies, increasing sales, optimizing revenue growth, and accelerating patient access across multiple markets.
- Competitive Agility - Ability to anticipate and respond to competitive market dynamics, making courageous decisions, balancing risk and proactively shaping Kite's positioning and business strategy in a complex oncology environment while developing winning strategies in response to market challenges.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development - Demonstrated success in leading regional commercial organizations, managing cross-functional teams, and fostering a high-performance, winning culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and competitive excellence in a time of transformation and growth.
- P&L and Financial Acumen - Strong track record in managing a regional P&L, optimizing budgets, and making strategic investment decisions that deliver strong sales and revenue performance to drive sustainable business growth.
- Gilead / Kite Experience - Previous experience in the ACE Region for Gilead or Kite and/or above market, global experience (e.g., participation on a product team) is highly valued.
Other characteristics of the ideal candidate include:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD) preferred.
- Leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a strong track record in commercial strategy, sales leadership, and business management across multiple markets.
- Depth of experience in product economics, business cycle, regulatory environment, government affairs and knowledge of key competitors is important.
- Senior-level sales and marketing leadership experience within a combination of large and/or mid-sized specialty biopharmaceutical companies.
- Extensive and recent product launch experience, in oncology/hematology or specialty pharma, having successfully launched key products/brands and consistently achieving sales growth and market share objectives. Experience in autoimmune is a plus.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including experience working within a global, matrixed organization.
- Has partnered closely with or overseen the functions of market access, pricing, and reimbursement, medical affairs, and commercial analytics to co-create go to market strategies in preparation for launch.
- Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Cultivates trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate business achievements. Encourages and leverages diversity to improve outcomes.
