Personal Injury Claims First Response Unit: Glasgow

Gildeas is a fast-paced, independent and modern law firm with offices in central Glasgow and Edinburgh. We specialise in pursuer personal injury. Due to the expansion of our Glasgow office, we are currently recruiting for the following position:

Located at: 83 West Regent St, Glasgow, G2 2BA.

Salary: up to £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Working pattern: Full time, office based. Hours are typically Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm but may be subject to alternate working patterns on occasion.

About the role: At Gildeas, we offer an exciting and challenging environment to build a future career in law. You will be fully supervised and supported throughout. Our First Response Team are the first line of contact for all incoming enquiries, responsible for the triage and processing of initial credit hire and personal injury claims.

As a member of the First Response Unit, expect that:

  • You will be the immediate point of contact for new clients, taking detailed information from clients and ensuring accuracy of information.
  • You will learn how to input data onto our case management system, onboarding clients and providing support in the initial file set-up.
  • You will obtain client instructions to act via electronic signature software.
  • You will make outgoing calls and answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • You will scan, name and save correspondence and documents to our case management system.
  • You will provide accurate information in-person and via phone and email, complying with GDPR and all relevant data protection guidance.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop client relationship skills, encouraging a rapport with clients and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Disclosure Scotland certificate.

About you: The successful candidate should:

  • Be proactive and have a can-do attitude.
  • Be conscientious with excellent attention to detail.
  • Be able to work as an individual and as part of our close-knit team.
  • Value the client experience and be an effective communicator.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite but particularly Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with 3CX and office equipment would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience in a prior administrative, call centre, motor industry or legal environment would be beneficial but is not essential. Full training can be provided to suitable candidates interested in a change of career direction.
