Job Description
- Maintain database records, manage enquiries, quotations from clients and suppliers
- Price tenders and build up rates from first principles
- Prepare and produce estimates, material take-offs, specifications, bill of quantities from drawings
- Commercially appraise risk and value engineering opportunities across all tenders
- Issue price enquiries to external suppliers
- Build and maintain supply chain relationships with suppliers
- Maintain estimating software, price lists and pricing documentation
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop competitive tenders
Person Specification
- Previous experience in an estimating role
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawing and specifications
- Well organised, punctual and a team player
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Capable of working cross functionally
