Our client is an award-winning, progressive full-service digital agency with their head office based in Edinburgh. The Creative Team are looking for a middleweight UX Designer, definitely someone with a UX background, good experience of Figma, and digital-focused design!
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining the approach taken on website design and development projects, ensuring we deliver a world-class product that excels in terms of user experience. The role will also work across the agency’s wider team, participating in digital marketing campaigns that extend beyond the customer’s website.
DAY TO DAY
- Website Strategy & Architecture - The Designer shall be involved from the outset of a new project, understanding the client and customer needs, and devising a plan and structure for new website builds. This shall involve producing sitemaps and user flows.
- Website Design - From initial wireframes to the finished article, the Designer will play a key role in the design of new websites, applying design and usability best practices in the process.
- User Acceptance Testing - Analysing the design and performance of websites to determine opportunities for enhanced user experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within an agency environment. You will be a current UX Designer with a proven track record.
- Confident presenting your ideas and decision-making processes to clients and partner companies.
- Ability to organise & prioritise your own workload.
- Relevant degree or qualification in UX such as a Google UX Design Professional Certification.
- Strong knowledge of UX and Design tools, in particular Figma - essential!
- Solid understanding of the web development life cycle.
- Some knowledge of web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript is an advantage.
- Familiarity with other elements of digital marketing, such as Search Engine Optimisation, Online Advertising, and Social Media Marketing.
- Working knowledge of typical agency productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, ClickUp, Slack, Trello, etc.
Salary purely dependent on skills and experience. ÂŁ35,000 - ÂŁ45,000 + bonus and other fantastic benefits. A great work culture with a defined career path and plenty of other perks.
