Our client is a leading UK full service digital agency with an outstanding digital offering. A brand new position has arisen for a Digital Project Manager, which is a fairly technical role (this is not a Digital Account Manager role/client services). Working with an exciting and diverse portfolio of clients, our client is looking for a Digital Project Manager to own delivery across a range of digital projects. From website builds to ongoing platform development, you’ll turn strategy into shipped work - on time, on budget and to extremely high standards!
This role sits between Account Management and Delivery, ensuring projects are clearly scoped, properly planned and executed without friction. You’ll take ownership of projects end-to-end, making day-to-day decisions and escalating when it matters.
The opportunity: No two projects are the same. You’ll work across a mix of clients and digital products, taking ownership of delivery from initial scope through to launch and beyond. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape how projects are run, improve processes, and build strong relationships with both internal teams and clients. You’ll be trusted to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, budgets and quality - ensuring everything moves forward and nothing gets stuck.
Your role:
- Own projects end-to-end: scope → plan → build → QA → launch → support
- Define and document scope clearly, including Statements of Work
- Translate strategy into actionable tasks, tickets and briefs
- Select and run appropriate delivery approaches (Agile, waterfall or hybrid)
- Manage RAID logs, identifying and resolving risks early
- Brief internal teams clearly and effectively
- Run QA cycles to ensure work meets functional and quality standards
- Ensure all work is signed off before client delivery
- Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date project documentation
- Track budgets, burn rates and timelines
- Identify and manage out-of-scope work, including cost implications
- Support resourcing across development, creative and marketing teams
- Manage live site tickets and ongoing maintenance
- Create CMS guides and support client handover post-launch
- Enable Account Managers with knowledge of delivered work
- Contribute to client conversations where delivery or technical input is required
The ideal candidate: This role suits someone who thrives on ownership and delivery in a fast-paced agency environment. You will be:
- Experienced in delivering digital projects end-to-end (minimum 2 years)
- Confident working across web builds (Drupal beneficial, not essential)
- Knowledgeable across UX, design, development, content and marketing
- Comfortable working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments
- Strong at scoping, budgeting and timeline management
- Able to write clear requirements, user stories and documentation
- A clear communicator who can translate technical detail into plain English
- Highly organised, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactive, taking ownership without needing direction
- Detail-focused, with a strong commitment to quality
Remuneration:
- Competitive compensation to match your role with a range of ÂŁ30,000 - ÂŁ35,000
- Investing in your growth with training
- Benefits from pensions to life cover
- Ample holiday time, competitive within the market
- Opportunity for enlightenment through IPA CPD / further education / training
Hybrid approach to work with 3 days/week in the office and 2 days WFH. The office is based in Edinburgh therefore it is essential that you are able to commute to Edinburgh.
