Overview: Account Manager, Leading Agency, to £35,000 + benefits. This is a career making opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading advertising/integrated agencies whose awards and accolades have kept them at the top of their field. You’ll be working across flagship accounts with varied and interesting projects to deliver.
The Account Manager’s role is to be the key person on client accounts day-to-day, ensuring the smooth running of the accounts to help deliver work that is strategically and creatively excellent — and to ensure they are profitable for the Agency. You will specifically work on a brand new business win (a major named account) helping the Account Director onboard and build the team, while getting to know the client and helping formulate the processes and procedures. This is an exciting time to join the team and agency.
Base pay range: Salary range £30,000 - £35,000 + benefits. The exact salary is dependent on skills and experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Be the key day-to-day contact on client accounts, ensuring smooth execution of work within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Build positive internal and external relationships, supervise team members, and apply agency processes to deliver excellent work.
- Brief creative, digital and production teams as appropriate and ensure clear communication with clients.
- Forecast future income streams and support ensuring profitability and growth for the client and agency.
- Contribute to strategy and planning; bring positive input to the brief, audience, and proposition.
- Attend client meetings and participate in shoots as required.
Required skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clarity for clients and internal teams.
- Strong organisational and project management skills within an agency setting.
- Team player with willingness to be hands-on.
- Eye for creativity with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Attention to detail and initiative.
- Understanding of wider marketing channels and their role in the communications mix; understanding of media channels and ability to recommend appropriate channels.
- Understanding of strategy and planning; ability to contribute to the strategy process.
- Experience briefing creative, digital and production teams; knowledge of the agency process model (schedules, briefs, planning/creative/production/studio).
- Experience in a large regulated account environment (e.g., financial services or utilities) is advantageous.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget; capability to support forecasting and profitability.
- Agency experience preferred; client-side candidates with relevant briefing experience may be considered.
Qualifications and considerations:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience; focused and ambitious attitude; potential progression from Account Executive/SAE to Account Manager in a brand-new team.
- Creative agency experience is highly preferable, but strong client-side candidates with relevant background may be considered.
- Lone relocation or in-country work eligibility requirements: applicant must be legally permitted to work in the UK. If not currently living in the UK, provide relocation plans/timelines; remote work is generally not represented by this recruiter.
