Overview
Commercial Marketing Manager within Events / Venue Hire / Hospitality. This role is based in Edinburgh, and remote candidates will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Launch a new venue hire sub-brand and take ownership of its development.
- Encourage footfall to existing venues.
- Lead the events programme and identify new audiences in the Edinburgh market.
- Translate agreed commercial priorities, offers and programming into effective, insight-driven marketing campaigns and creative output that drive sales, footfall and engagement across commercial outlets and venue hire services.
- Deliver the commercial marketing service and contribute to the development of the digital marketing service, ensuring both areas work cohesively to support income-generating priorities.
- Deliver both commercial marketing and venue hire marketing services to support revenue, footfall and enquiry generation targets.
- Interpret and use insights from loyalty app data, digital analytics and wider market trends to shape and optimise campaigns for maximum performance.
- Shaping and delivering campaign creatives, including producing design assets where appropriate, while working with the in-house design team to ensure high-quality output.
- Contribute to the future strategic development of the commercial marketing service and long-term approaches to revenue-generating marketing.
- Develop the future direction of commercial marketing within the organisation, within the strategic framework set by the Director and Head of Marketing and other stakeholders.
- Understand and apply B2B and B2C marketing techniques; support growth of income-generating activities including the brand-new venue hire business, trading outlets (bars, restaurants and cafes), loyalty app promotions and events promotions.
- Attract customers from across the city and beyond through targeted promotional activity, SEO enhancements and compelling content.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong marketing and digital marketing campaign development background within hospitality / events / leisure.
- Proven track record of building sales via various marketing channels.
- Approximately 2 years of experience in marketing campaign strategy and delivery within the hospitality / events / audience development sector; preferably 3β4 years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Based in Edinburgh; 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home, with flexibility for evenings/weekends during events.
Salary and Location
Salary Β£30,000 - Β£36,000 + benefits. Minimum 2 years experience, preferably 3/4. Permanent contract.
