The Account Manager’s role is to be the key person on their client accounts day-to-day, ensuring the smooth running of the accounts to help deliver work that is strategically and creatively excellent - and make sure they are profitable for the Agency. You will mostly be working on a flagship account (financial services and internal communications) helping the Account Director produce brilliant campaigns and build the team, whilst getting to know the client and helping improve the processes and procedures. This should be achieved through building positive internal and external (especially client) relationships, the effective supervision of team members and the efficient application of agency processes to ensure delivery of excellent work within agreed budgets and timescales.

Account Manager’s key skills and experience required:
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly advanced listening, providing clarity and consistency to clients and internal teams
  • Strong organisational and project management skills within an agency
  • Team player, not afraid to roll your sleeves up!
  • Eye for creativity and ability to clearly provide constructive feedback
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Shows initiative and pro-activity
  • Understanding of wider marketing channels and their role in the communications mix
  • Understanding of media channels and ability to recommend appropriate channels
  • Understanding of the role of strategy and planning
  • Ability to provide positive input into the strategy process, getting to the crux of a brief, the audience and proposition
  • Briefing creative, digital and production teams as appropriate
  • Fully understands client’s business and market and keeping on top of new developments and trends - it would be ideal if you had experience in a large regulated account environment such as financial services or utilities
  • Adds value to clients/agency business – and to your team
  • Ability to deliver projects smoothly on time and on budget
  • Assists the Account Director in forecasting future income streams and making sure projects and overall clients are profitable and prepped for growth
  • Has knowledge of all aspects of the agency process model and competent in progressing work within this framework such as: prepping schedules and quotations, taking briefs, briefing in planning/creative/production/studio etc.
  • Also you will attend client meetings and go out on shoots etc.

We are looking for an agency experienced individual who wants to join a new team. We are looking for a minimum of 2 years’ experience and a focused and ambitious attitude. This may be perfect for an existing Account Exec / SAE to step up or an existing AM who wants to be an integral part of a brand new team. It is highly preferable that you have creative agency experience, but we may consider a great client side candidate if you have experience of briefing and come from a large financial services or utilities industry background.

Salary is purely dependent on skills and experience with a range of £30,000 - £36,000 + great benefits.
