We are seeking an experienced and passionate Headteacher to lead a small, Specialist school in Blackpool, offering a therapeutic and nurturing environment for students in Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is perfect for an inspiring leader with a strong understanding of working with children and young people with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the school’s vision and strategic direction, ensuring a focus on the holistic well-being of every student.
- Provide a therapeutic environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential.
- Oversee the delivery of a personalised curriculum that meets the needs of students with ASC, ADHD, sensory processing needs, and anxiety.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASC, ADHD, sensory processing needs, or high anxiety.
- QTS/QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) is required for this post.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to foster a supportive and therapeutic learning environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and support families and external professionals.
