Assistant Headteacher – SEN School | £50,000-£52,000 | Inner London

An ambitious and inclusive specialist school is seeking a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join their senior leadership team. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a school committed to excellence in SEN education.

The Role:

Support the Headteacher in driving forward the strategic vision of the school and managing the day-to-day operations of the two sites. A key element of the role includes leading on well-being and mental health across the school community, alongside overseeing key areas such as curriculum implementation, staff development, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Headteacher in strategic planning and daily management
  • Lead on mental health and well-being across staff and pupils
  • Promote a positive and enriching school culture
  • Ensure high standards of teaching and curriculum delivery
  • Drive school improvement initiatives
  • Manage and develop staff, including performance management
  • Ensure safeguarding and statutory compliance (including acting as DDSL)
