Our experienced food development team, including chefs and supply chain experts, works with partners to develop products that support kitchen operations across the UK. Based in Leicester, we support and supply food service establishments across the UK. Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are now looking to hire Drivers for our Central Production Unit at Elland Road, Leicester LE3 1TU. Our Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a Category C (Class 2), ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Operate a Category C (Class 2) vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Complete delivery documentation, including Temperature slips.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and records of mileage and fuel.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries or collection and handle inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to health, safety, and compliance regulations at all times.
- Report incidents, accidents, or cargo damage promptly.
- Use GPS and electronic logging devices for navigation and compliance.
- Valid commercial driving license for Category C (Class 2).
- Clean driving record with proven experience operating heavy goods vehicles.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to lift and move heavy goods during loading/unloading.
- Basic understanding of delivery documentation and compliance requirements.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work with a driver assistant and under pressure.
Multi-drop drivers with fixed routes, with a minimum of 45 hours per week. Required to work night shifts.
