Engagement Details:

- Outside IR35 (pending final determination)

- Hybrid, occasional travel to Glasgow office

- 6 month initial contract

- Β£450–£500 per day

- Start Date within 2/3 weeks

We are undertaking a major digital and operational transformation and is seeking an experienced
Agile Delivery Lead / Scrum Master
to design, implement, and embed a structured Agile delivery framework across its technology teams. The organisation currently operates with limited formal methodology, and this role will play a key part in improving delivery effectiveness, collaboration, and transparency. The first team you will be working with is the Enterprise App \\ ERP team - so any previous experience of this would be beneficial.

Key Objectives

- Design and implement a fit-for-purpose Agile delivery framework aligned to our organisational structure and strategic goals.

- Coach and embed Agile practices across cross-functional technology and business teams.

- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more delivery squads, acting as a hands-on practitioner while developing internal capability.

- Establish Agile ceremonies, tools, and best practices suitable for a maturing delivery environment.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Core Responsibilities

- Assess current delivery approach, processes, and maturity across teams.

- Develop a tailored Agile playbook or framework applicable to both technology and business functions.

- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and demos.

- Support backlog creation, prioritisation, refinement, and develop an improved framework for business-led prioritisation.

- Identify, manage, and resolve delivery impediments to maintain momentum.

- Coach Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and wider stakeholders on Agile roles, responsibilities, and best practices.

- Recommend and support adoption of tools and practices to enhance Agile delivery.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and iterative delivery across teams.

Expected Deliverables

- Documented Agile framework or playbook tailored to our organisation

- Defined backlog structure and sprint cadence for key teams

- Successful delivery and facilitation of Agile ceremonies for at least one core team

- Training and coaching sessions for internal team members and stakeholders

- Summary report at the end of the engagement detailing outcomes, recommendations, and next steps
