Location: Glasgow City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract: Initial 3 months with strong scope for extension

Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Modeler to spearhead the design, development, and enhancement of our core data models. This pivotal role will focus on optimising data structures for seamless consumption by both business end‑users and advanced Artificial Intelligence applications, ensuring our data assets are intuitive, performant, and AI‑ready.
The ideal candidate will drive standardisation, implement best practices in data architecture, and possess deep expertise in crafting scalable and adaptable data solutions that empower informed decision‑making and fuel intelligent systems.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience with Dimensional Modelling, including Star and Snowflake schema design
- Experience working within modern Data Lakehouse architectures
- Advanced SQL and SparkSQL skills, including complex querying, DDL, and DML
- Strong understanding of DAX and analytical data modelling principles
- Experience designing scalable data models for analytics, BI, and AI/ML use cases
- Ability to optimise and enhance existing enterprise data structures
- Strong understanding of data architecture best practices and performance optimisation
- Experience engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Exposure to metadata management strategies, data lineage, and governance frameworks
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric
- Understanding of data quality management and standardisation approaches
- Previous experience leading or influencing enterprise‑wide data modelling standards
