Our Mission At Gigaton, we’re on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest emitting industries, like cement, steel, and glass, by applying cutting-edge AI where it matters most. We’re a small and growing team of scientists, engineers, and strategic thinkers who care deeply about impact and believe in getting there with good humour and urgency. Our SaaS products help heavy industry optimise operations in real time, cutting costs and carbon today while building the foundation for the next industrial revolution. With Gigaton, you’ll do something that actually helps the planet. Not a bad way to invest your career.
About the role We’re looking for a Product Manager (AI & Product Innovation) to join our product team and report to the Head of Product. You’ll bridge commercial and technical worlds — shaping how our AI-driven products evolve from research to scalable customer solutions. Drawing on a mix of data insight, user empathy, and commercial acumen, you’ll help Gigaton define and deliver the next generation of AI-powered optimisation tools across heavy industry.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead product discovery and definition for new AI capabilities and features, from ideation to launch.
- Collaborate with research, data science and software teams to translate AI models into valuable product features.
- Work closely with customers to identify pain points, test prototypes, and validate solutions.
- Shape go-to-market strategies and messaging in partnership with commercial and customer success teams.
- Use product analytics and feedback loops to drive continuous learning and improvement.
- Communicate product vision and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
What a great fit looks like:
- Experience in product management or strategy in a technology or SaaS environment — ideally with exposure to AI, data, or optimisation tools.
- Strong intuition and empathy for solving problems in real manufacturing environments.
- Practical grasp of physics and engineering fundamentals.
- Proven ability to work across technical and commercial domains, aligning engineering with business priorities.
- Strong analytical mindset with fluency in metrics, experimentation, and validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial drive and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment.
You’ll excel if you are:
- Equally at ease discussing product-market fit and model accuracy.
- Comfortable leading workshops, structuring ideas, and influencing decisions without direct authority.
- Passionate about the intersection of AI, sustainability, and real-world impact.
- Energised by rapid iteration and hands-on problem-solving.
The interview process:
- Call with our Talent Partner to help you learn more about the role and team and to assess initial mutual fit.
- Exploratory 25-minute call with Kenny - Head of Product.
- If you pass the CV review, you will be invited to a Technical/ Structured Product Exercise (90 mins).
- Technical 2 Cross-Functional Deep dive to understand how you communicate user needs to engineering.
- Operating Principles Interview is a structured behavioural interview linked to our operating principles.
- Meet with our CEO, Josh Vernon.
Hiring is a two-way process. Just as we’ll reference-check candidates before making a final offer, we encourage you to reference-check us by chatting with team members you haven’t yet met. Ask anything. We’ll answer with Concrete Honesty. Once interviews are done, we’ll move quickly to a decision, and we’re always happy to give feedback at any stage.
We’re building a team that reflects the world we want to change. Our people come from all walks of life - different countries, cultures and experiences - and we think that’s one of our biggest strengths. We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected and celebrated. No matter your background, if you’re excited by what we do, we want to hear from you.
In return for your hard work, we’ll give you:
- Equity in the company: When we win, you win. You’ll get share options, so you’re part of our journey from the inside.
- Flexible working: We trust you to know how and when you work best and to work that out with your team.
- 30 days of holiday (plus bank holidays). Rest is productive. Take the time you need to recharge.
- A generous pension scheme. We’re planning for the future in more ways than one.
Our Operating Principles:
- Go Gig or Go Home: High Bar, All In. What we do matters to humanity, to our customers and to each other. We hold ourselves to an extraordinarily high bar and bring the urgency this mission requires.
- Concrete Honesty: Be honest. As concrete forms the foundation of our world, genuine honesty and transparency are the bedrock of our culture.
- Autonomous Ownership: High agency, high ownership. We build systems that take control and make things better. We do the same: see it, own it, drive it.
- Cement it with Kindness & Fun: Have fun, be kind. We're here to extend Earth's life, but ours is still limited. We want to enjoy the ride.
