At Gigaton, we’re on a mission to cut gigatonnes of carbon emissions from the world’s biggest emitting industries (like cement, steel and glass), by building autonomous AI control and optimisation systems that learn and leverage the physics of manufacturing. Our products run heavy industrial plants more efficiently, more stably, and with lower emissions in real time - laying the foundation for the next industrial revolution.
We are a team of scientists, engineers, builders, and operators who love hard problems, have high standards, and want to make change happen in the physical world. We care about deep tech, but we care even more about whether it delivers cost and carbon impact in a live plant, with real people, under real constraints.
We’re looking for a Content Manager who can turn complex ideas into content people want to engage with. You'll build, run and execute on Gigaton’s content engine to create high-impact content across formats. At Gigaton we staunchly believe that brand matters. It has the ability to fundamentally change our trajectory. Our ability to communicate clearly, confidently and consistently is the cornerstone of our brand. Everything you make will tie back to establishing Gigaton as the definitive voice in Industrial AI.
You won’t be expected to set the full content strategy from day one. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to execute and improve the current strategy, build a repeatable content engine, and gradually take on more strategic ownership as the function grows. This will also involve close collaboration with Sales, Product, People and Engineering teams to produce content that resonates with technical audiences.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead production of high-impact content across formats such as LinkedIn, technical articles, culture blogs, webinars and newsletters, that drive top of funnel credibility and inbound interest.
- Build the process behind the content engine (briefing, drafting, review, publication) and use AI tools to work efficiently without cutting corners, reutilising key messages across multiple formats to reach new audiences every time.
- Own distribution strategy for content you produce - selecting the right channel, format, and audience for each piece, and adapting based on performance data - in line with the overall channel strategy set with the Head of Marketing.
- Co-author the content calendar with the Head of Marketing. Coordinate around customer milestones, product launches, industry events, and policy moments.
- Uphold Gigaton’s voice, tone, and standards, ensuring company-wide output speaks with the same voice.
- Support content production in the sales cycle - case studies, customer stories, and technical proof points - working from input provided by Sales and Product, in addition to top of funnel and brand content.
- Work cross-functionally to originate ideas and act as an editorial partner to help senior and technical team members contribute and ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned to business priorities.
What a great fit looks like:
- You’ve owned content production across multiple formats or channels, and can show how your work improved reach, credibility, engagement, inbound interest or audience growth.
- A track record of building a content calendar that drives top-of-funnel growth, and of turning one-off wins into repeatable formats and distribution loops.
- A strong ability to understand complex technical topics and communicate them with clarity.
- Outstanding writing, editing skills, strong editorial judgement and confidence using AI to execute efficiently and at scale.
- The ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Visual literacy. You don’t need to be a designer but you can brief work, spot when something’s off-brand, and steer freelancers and teammates towards something better.
- You’re excited by variety, not a narrow brief. As our second marketing hire, you'll also contribute to everything else marketing does, campaigns, events, strategy.
- You’re motivated by work with real-world climate and industrial impact, and can explain why this kind of problem matters to you.
You’ll excel if:
- Experience in or a genuine interest in deep tech, energy intensive industries, or industrial technology sectors.
- You’re hungry for responsibility and keen to take on strategic thinking and creative problem solving.
- You’ve worked at a startup or early-stage company. We move fast, priorities shift, and we're looking for someone who finds that exciting rather than uncomfortable.
- You ask thoughtful questions, stay constructive when things are ambiguous, and help create a working environment that has both high-standard and kind.
- You have experience with our stack: Canva, HubSpot, Sanity, Claude, Figma and emerging technologies.
- You are not expected to check every box, and we’d love to hear from you even if your experience isn’t an exact match.
We’re building a team that reflects the world we want to change. Our people come from all walks of life - different countries, cultures and experiences - and we think that’s one of our biggest strengths. We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected and celebrated. No matter your background, if you’re excited by what we do, we want to hear from you.
The interview process includes a multiple part interview process. You can choose to interview remotely or on-site for some of the interviews, but it’s easier to build rapport in person.
In return for your hard work, we’ll give you:
- Equity in the company: When we win, you win. You’ll get share options, so you’re part of our journey from the inside.
- Flexible working: We trust you to know how and when you work best and to work that out with your team.
- 30 days of holiday (plus bank holidays). Rest is productive. Take the time you need to recharge.
- A generous pension scheme. We’re planning for the future in more ways than one.
Our Operating Principles:
- Go Gig or Go Home: High Bar, All In. What we do matters to humanity, to our customers and to each other. We hold ourselves to an extraordinarily high bar and bring the urgency this mission requires.
- Concrete Honesty: Be honest. As concrete forms the foundation of our world, genuine honesty and transparency are the bedrock of our culture.
- Autonomous Ownership: High agency, high ownership. We build systems that take control and make things better. We do the same: see it, own it, drive it.
- Cement it with Kindness & Fun: Have fun, be kind. We're here to extend Earth's life, but ours is still limited. We want to enjoy the ride.
