The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Do you bring a DevOps approach and are you familiar with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform, as well as Containerisation, Kubernetes and OpenShift? With this knowledge, you will make the decisions that will dictate the evolution and direction of our infrastructure, systems, and operational technology roadmap.

You will be forward thinking, own the budget, and bring your commercial acumen to balance cost control with ensuring our solutions are fit for purpose as we continue to scale, supporting both our employees and our 150,000 and growing customer base.

Note: this would be a hybrid role, requiring you to be comfortable commuting into our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon circa 2 days per week. At the moment, we have a mix of on-prem, virtualisation (VMware) and cloud solutions (AWS and Azure), so you will also be familiar with these technologies together with sound Linux / RHEL.

You will be our technical expert, so although not day-to-day operational, you will understand the technology to support your highly skilled engineering team and your decision making. We continue to evolve; therefore, you will have plenty of opportunity to innovate, bring ideas to the table, and make a difference.

This is a people management role; therefore, previous experience and alignment to Gigaclear’s approach to leading, managing, supporting, training, mentoring, and developing your team is key.

Gigaclear is a growing Fibre Broadband (FTTP / FTTH) company, developing our fibre-to-the-premises broadband infrastructure to some of the most difficult to reach areas of the UK, empowering those communities with broadband to rival any city.
