Job Description
Already working in Telecoms but looking to work for the client on a full fibre network, a role that will support you with a training pathway that will include external sector accredited courses on underground and overhead PIA, NRSWA, etc, as well as internal training on the Gigaclear network, fibre splicing and testing?\\n\\nA starting salary of £28,000 to £32,000 dependent upon experience and current qualifications / accreditations?\\n\\nReporting to the Operations Manager the Field Engineer will then be responsible for a variety of tasks involved in the Break Fix of the Gigaclear FTTH / FTTP network. Works will include traditional (civils / buried) and PIA underground and overhead. The Field Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all works meet Gigaclear standards as well as compliance with NRSWA, SROH and the relevant build, break fix & fibre specifications.\\n\\nKey Accountability & Responsibilities\\n\\nDelivery of the allocated Break Fix schedules, working with stakeholders to deliver on time, safely and to standard\\n\\nBreak Fix could include – traditional underground / buried network as well as PIA overhead and underground issues and fix\\n\\nService repair on PIA PON network communities\\n\\nInitial first response to Gigaclear’s overhead poles to assess and feedback for contractor instruction\\n\\nFibre splicing and testing\\n\\nResponsibility for their own and teams’ assurance across quality and Health & Safety standards\\n\\nKnowledge & Experience\\n\\nA background in Civils, Fibre and / or Telecoms, ideally fibre optic networks (FTTH / FTTP)\\n\\nPrevious experience of installations, fault fix, repair and / or maintenance \\n\\nAbility to troubleshoot, diagnose and fault fix network issues\\n\\nPrevious knowledge and experience of in the field Civils specifications desirable – eg NRSWA\\n\\nAble to understand, interpret and adhere to risk & method assessments\\n\\nQualifications & Accreditations\\n\\nFull driving licence (manual), held for 12 months+\\n\\t\\nDBS check (or ability to pass)\\n\\t\\nIdeally already hold a NRSWA Operative accreditation\\n\\nNote: All offers of employment will be subject to interview.
