About the Role

Gigaclear is a high‑growth company delivering fibre‑optic broadband to underserved rural communities across England. The Field Engineer role supports the expansion of the network and the delivery of world‑class customer service.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the allocated work programmes, working with stakeholders to deliver on time, safely and to standard.
  • Trouble‑shoot, diagnose and carry out installations.
  • Providing a first‑class customer service.
  • Ensure management of any customer complaints, working to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Responsibility for own and teams’ assurance across quality and Health & Safety standards.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous Telecoms Installations experience, ideally fibre optic networks (FTTH / FTTP).
  • Previous knowledge and experience of field Civils specifications desirable – eg NRSWA.
  • Previous experience of delivery to pre‑defined project schedules.
  • Able to understand, interpret and adhere to risk & method assessments.

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • Full driving licence (manual), held for 12 months+.
  • DBS check (or ability to pass).
  • Ideally already hold a NRSWA Operative accreditation.
