The Pricing & Commercial Trading Manager will lead the development, governance and optimisation of Gigaclear’s portfolio pricing strategy across both B2C and B2B markets. The role is responsible for ensuring pricing decisions maximise customer lifetime value, drive profitable growth and support the Company’s long-term commercial ambitions. Working across Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Technology and Insight & Intelligence, the Pricing Manager will combine commercial judgement with robust analytical thinking to translate market insight into effective pricing strategies.

The role will establish a disciplined approach to pricing, promotions and commercial modelling, ensuring every pricing decision is evidence-based, financially robust and aligned to Gigaclear’s overall strategy. This is a high impact role that will be responsible for developing pricing strategies, promotions and commercial models that optimise acquisition, retention, customer lifetime value and profitability. The position offers the opportunity to shape the company's commercial strategy and lay the foundations for long-term value creation. This is an opportunity to build a modern pricing capability from the ground up, introducing best practice, embedding a culture of experimentation and positioning pricing as a strategic lever for growth rather than simply an operational process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Gigaclear’s Pricing Strategy: Lead the ongoing development of Gigaclear’s pricing strategy across B2C and B2B products, ensuring the business remains competitive whilst delivering sustainable improvements in revenue, profitability and customer lifetime value. Working closely with the Director of Commercial Strategy & Propositions, develop pricing principles that balance acquisition, retention, commercial return and customer value. Provide strategic recommendations to the Chief Commercial Officer on pricing opportunities, competitive responses and long-term pricing direction.
  • Own the Pricing Architecture: Take ownership of the end-to-end pricing architecture, ensuring structures remain simple for customers whilst reflecting differences in market conditions, network competition and customer value. Develop pricing frameworks across broadband, voice, mobile, value-added services, hardware and installation, supporting the Company’s ambition to introduce increasingly sophisticated segmentation and localised pricing where appropriate. Ensure pricing architecture evolves alongside the proposition roadmap, supporting future multi-gig services, new product launches and adjacent revenue opportunities.
  • Commercial Modelling & Decision Support: Provide robust commercial analysis to support strategic decision making across the Commercial organisation. Develop financial models and business cases that evaluate the commercial impact of pricing changes, promotions and new propositions, modelling the implications for acquisition, churn, margin, customer lifetime value and long-term profitability. Present recommendations in a clear and concise manner, enabling senior stakeholders to make confident, evidence-based commercial decisions.
  • Promotions and Customer Value Management: Develop promotional strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention without compromising long-term value. Work closely with Marketing and Sales to optimise acquisition offers, retention propositions and up-sell / x-sell journeys. Evaluate the effectiveness of the campaigns, identifying opportunities to improve conversion, reduce unnecessary discounting and increase customer lifetime value through more targeted interventions.
  • Commercial Insight & Intelligence: Develop a deep understanding of Gigaclear’s competitive position by monitoring pricing activity across national broadband providers, alternative networks and business connectivity markets. Use internal performance data alongside external market intelligence to identify pricing opportunities, competitive threats and emerging customer trends. Work closely with the Insight & Intelligence function to develop richer pricing analytics, incorporating customer segmentation, price elasticity, acquisition performance, churn behaviour and lifetime value into future pricing decisions.
  • Embed Test & Learn: Establish a culture of experimentation that enables the deployment of smarter pricing decisions through evidence rather than assumption. Design and oversee controlled pricing experiments across different customer segments, geographic markets, propositions and promotional mechanics. Working alongside the Insight & Intelligence team, evaluate the results of these trials to understand customer behaviour, price sensitivity and commercial outcomes before wider implementation.
  • Pricing & Trading Governance: Develop robust governance processes that ensure pricing changes are properly evaluated, approved and implemented across all customer and billing systems. Act as the commercial owner for pricing governance, maintaining clear documentation, approval processes and implementation controls to minimise operational risk. Support continuous improvement across pricing processes, systems and reporting, ensuring the pricing function becomes increasingly efficient, automated and scalable. Work with the IT Product teams and the Insight & Intelligence team to develop pricing agility that enables us to make changes across all channels within 24hrs and automate pricing response to competitor activity at a household level.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured not only by commercial outcomes, but by the maturity of the pricing capability built within the business. Key measures include sustained improvements in ARPU, gross margin and Customer Lifetime Value, alongside successful delivery of Gigaclear’s pricing roadmap and segmented pricing strategy. The role will also be expected to deliver the following: Improved promotional effectiveness – reducing unnecessary discounting and delivering measurable improvements in acquisition/retention efficiency and commercial return on investment. High quality commercial modelling that builds trust and confidence of senior stakeholders in pricing recommendations. The successful introduction of a structured test-and-learn pricing framework that enables faster, more informed commercial decision making. A sustainable strategy for dealing with annual price rises. The ability to build the capability to deploy price changes within 24 hours to all channels and automate some pricing decisions in response to market changes (working in collaboration with IT and Insight & Intelligence teams.)

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience in commercial pricing, pricing strategy, commercial finance or revenue management within telecommunications, utilities, financial services, retail or another commercially complex industry. They will have a strong understanding of pricing architecture, customer economics, commercial modelling and profitability analysis, together with experience developing pricing strategies that balance customer value, competitiveness and commercial performance. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets and financial models, and able to translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
