Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join the London-based Energy team within the Construction & Projects area (strong Renewables exposure highly desired). Combining sector experience with global focus to provide strategic advice to clients operating in dynamic/emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Client relationship management
  • Business development initiatives
  • Mentor/develop junior team members
  • Lead drafting/ negotiation of project, construction and finance documentation
  • Managing transactions/ supervising junior lawyers
  • Advice to clients on risk allocation, structuring and execution of projects
  • Work closely with partners on practice development

Experience:

  • Strong M&A exposure in renewables
  • PQE experience (or equivalent) projects, construction, energy, infra
  • Experience in the energy, climate finance, carbon/natural capital areas
  • Business development
  • Technical legal expertise with experience leading complex transactions
  • Supervise junior lawyers
  • Solid drafting, analytical and communication skills
