Our client is seeking both a Senior Associate to join the London-based Energy team within the Construction & Projects area (strong Renewables exposure highly desired). Combining sector experience with global focus to provide strategic advice to clients operating in dynamic/emerging markets. Role sits in the Construction & Projects area – focusing on renewable power, low-carbon fuels and sustainable infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Client relationship management
- Business development initiatives
- Mentor/develop junior team members
- Lead drafting/ negotiation of project, construction and finance documentation
- Managing transactions/ supervising junior lawyers
- Advice to clients on risk allocation, structuring and execution of projects
- Work closely with partners on practice development
Experience:
- PQE experience (or equivalent) projects, construction, energy, infra
- Experience in the energy, climate finance, carbon/natural capital areas
- Business development
- Technical legal expertise with experience leading complex transactions
- Supervise junior lawyers
- Solid drafting, analytical and communication skills
