Our client is seeking both a Senior Associate and Partner to join the London-based Energy team within the Construction & Projects area (strong Renewables exposure highly desired). This area is advising on global projects across the Middle East and Africa, Europe, Asia and America. Combining sector experience with global focus to provide strategic advice to clients operating in dynamic/emerging markets.
Role sits in the Construction & Projects area – focusing on renewable power, low-carbon fuels and sustainable infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Client relationship management
- Business development initiatives
- Mentor/develop junior team members
- Lead drafting/ negotiation of project, construction and finance documentation
- Managing transactions/ supervising junior lawyers
- Advice to clients on risk allocation, structuring and execution of projects
- Work closely with partners on practice development
Experience:
- PQE experience (or equivalent) projects, construction, energy, infra
- Experience in the energy, climate finance, carbon/natural capital areas
- Business development
- Technical legal expertise with experience leading complex transactions
- Supervise junior lawyers
- Solid drafting, analytical and communication skills
