As Demand Planner you will play a pivotal role in managing the forecasting and demand planning activities for our company. You’ll work closely with the product team to plan new season product launches, and with the sales team to ensure we are ordering and holding sufficient stock to enable us to maximise all sales opportunities whilst also highlighting the seasonal best & worst performers.
You’ll have a strong analytical ability, be familiar working with large data sets and a high number of SKU’s, and have the ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. We are looking for someone with excellent demand planning experience who thrives in a fast-paced role, has a commercial mindset, and is team and results focused.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work with stakeholders to build forecast plans for Wholesale and Digital channels
- Plan new product launches with demand forecasts and detailed analysis to anticipate customers promotions, market trends and seasonal variations
- Successfully run planning tools with sales, stock and intake information, and ability to identify errors and anomalies
- Manage SKU’s actual and target inventories of key lines, working closely with the Operations team to minimise weeks cover & maximise stock turn
- Prepare information for seasonal/monthly/weekly forecast meetings to review forecast accuracy, current ROS vs Wks Cover, seasonal fulfilment and in-season % sell-out
- Identify opportunities to optimise inventory and meet customer demands across all channels
- Reviewing slow moving stock and proposing items that could be eligible for special promotions or clearance
- Ad hoc analysis across the planning team to support overall objectives
- Reallocations of stock between customer orders
- Monitoring unfulfillable sales orders and liaising with the sales team to manage customer delivery dates and expectations
Skills & experience required:
- Advanced use of Microsoft excel with a strong reporting background
- Solid experience of inventory management and forecasting
- Omni-Channel experience is preferable
- Knowledge and understanding of USA market an advantage
- Experienced working with ERP Planning tools and data analytics. Knowledge of Oracle Net Suite would be advantageous
- Excellent multi-tasker who isn’t afraid of a challenge
- Commercially savvy, being creative but also have an analytical mindset
- Strong judgement, drive and influence
- Hard working, self-motivated and great communicator
- Great communication skills & a calm temperament under pressure
Location: South Wimbledon
