Gifford and Partners have been appointed by a multi-award-winning professional practice firm in Leeds, to appoint a Tax Manager and Senior Tax Manager in private client tax. If you are an ambitious tax accountant wanting to step up and progress to manager, or a current Manager/Senior Manager in private client tax and fancy a new challenge, this could be just the opportunity for you.

The role is responsible for:

  • Ownership of a varied and complex portfolio of private clients
  • Managing and reviewing annual personal tax compliance work
  • Advising clients on a range of personal tax matters including IHT, CGT, residence and domicile issues
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and leading advisory projects
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Liaising directly with clients and building long-lasting, trusted relationships
  • Working closely with Directors and Partners on complex matters and strategic planning

What are we looking for:

  • To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, client-focused tax professional
  • Have a strong track record in personal/private client tax
  • Essentially you will be CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • Bring to the table a collaborative, forward-thinking approach
  • Ambition to progress towards Senior Manager and Director roles
