Are you a seasoned finance professional with a knack for strategic insight and a passion for driving business performance? Gifford and Partners have been appointed to recruit a Commercial Management Accountant. This role offers the chance to influence the financial trajectory of a business that has achieved double-digit growth consecutively for the past 21 years, and is about to double in size as a result of a recent acquisition.

As Commercial Management Accountant, you will be pivotal in making this new role a success, working amongst a high-performing culture and commercial finance team. The role will be responsible for and not limited to:

  • Manage and lead a small team.
  • Own and challenge the divisional monthly forecast to ensure accurate future revenue and profit expectations.
  • Drive actions to improve key financial and non-financial metrics through regular review with stakeholders.
  • Provide critical strategic support to senior leadership on business strategies and key strategic projects both UK and globally.
  • Review month-end financials, sign off on key finance outputs, and produce high-quality quarterly board reports.
  • Lead the end-to-end budget setting process, ensuring deadlines are met and processes are efficient.
  • Support ad hoc projects requiring financial insight, such as potential M&A activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration working across the UK and global finance teams to support broader team priorities and development activities.
  • Regularly presenting and working with senior stakeholders, including the Finance Director and divisional heads.

Essentially, the role of Commercial Management Accountant targets a qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA accountant, either as a likely first mover from the profession, or industry trained with some business partnering experience.
