Gifford and Partners have been appointed by a fast-growing manufacturing business based in North Yorkshire, with operations across multiple sites. The business continues to scale rapidly through a combination of organic growth and acquisition activity, creating a finance environment that is both challenging and highly rewarding.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director and as part of a supportive and capable team, you will play a key part in ensuring the group delivers accurate, compliant and timely reporting across a multi-entity structure. The position provides a strong mix of:
- Group financial reporting and financial control
- Stat and year-end delivery
- Improvements in reporting processes, controls and systems
- Consolidations and intercompany processes
- Exposure to audit, governance and technical accounting
Candidate Profile
This role will suit someone who enjoys technical detail, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a business with pace and complexity, whilst contributing to the direction of the business. You’ll ideally be:
- ACA / ACCA qualified from Big4 or Top10 in commercial audit
- Looking to make your first move from practice (audit or accounts background ideal)
- Confident with statutory reporting and financial statements
- Naturally organised and comfortable working to deadlines
- A clear communicator who can work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
- Experience of group reporting or consolidation is beneficial, but not essential. The key is a strong technical grounding and the right mindset.
