Finance Manager

Gifford and Partners have been retained by a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary professional services business with a strong Yorkshire base and national reach is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager into this newly created and strategically important role.

The business has experienced over 50% growth recently, with both organic and acquisitive activity contributing to this. They continue to invest heavily in its people, systems and infrastructure to support its next phase of development.

The Role of the Finance Manager

Reporting directly into the CFO with breadth across the whole operating business, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening how finance supports the wider organisation. Key areas of responsibility include:

• Acting as a Finance Business Partner to the wider business, including supporting contract negotiations with robust financial analysis.
• Supporting continued growth, including involvement in acquisition activity and financial due diligence.
• Taking ownership of the development and optimisation of newly implimented finance systems, ensuring the system delivers the efficiency, automation and insight it is capable of.
• Driving improved budgeting and rolling forecasting, making processes easier, more accurate and more insightful for senior stakeholders and the board.
• Producing high-quality management information to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

The Person

• Fully qualified accountant (ACMA / ACA / ACCA).
• Strong experience with industry exposure.
• Some exposure to automating the reporting or developing a mid-tier accounting system would be a distinct advantage
• Commercially minded and confident at engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a growing, change-driven environment.
