- Interpreting market trends and translating them into commercial strategy

The business is also acquisitively minded, and this role will have exposure to future acquisition activity, including commercial evaluation and potential integration support.
This is a broad, commercially focused role with real influence, including:
- Acting as a Finance Business Partner to senior operational and commercial stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Providing clear, concise and actionable financial insight to support pricing, contract negotiations and strategic decisions
- Challenging assumptions and interpreting market and commercial trends to support future growth
- Delivering high-quality analysis and recommendations that drive action, not just discussion
- Leading, mentoring and developing a small, capable finance team
- Playing an active role in strategic projects, transformation initiatives and change delivery
- Supporting the business as it prepares for, and executes, its next phase of growth
This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to the action. You are likely to bring:
- Qualified accountant status (ACMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- 3-4+ years post-qualification experience
- A strong background in commercial finance or finance business partnering
- Proven experience supporting contract negotiations, pricing or margin decisions
- The confidence to challenge, influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Experience managing or developing a small team
- A track record of delivering insight that leads to tangible outcomes
- Experience within a growing SME or a change-led environment would be advantageous, as would exposure to acquisition or integration activity, although attitude and commercial capability are more important than a perfect CV.
A high-visibility role with genuine influence across the business. Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making. The opportunity to shape commercial outcomes during a period of change and growth. A business that values challenge, insight and delivery - not hierarchy. A role that offers breadth, stretch and progression, not just responsibility.
