This is a great opportunity to join the Financial Control team at giffgaff, playing a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and well controlled financial reporting across the business. As a Reporting Finance Analyst, you will support the delivery of month end results, statutory reporting and technical accounting, helping the business make informed decisions while maintaining a strong control environment.

Working closely with the Reporting Finance Manager and wider finance team, you will be hands on with month end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and new product accounting. You will also partner with stakeholders across giffgaff and Virgin Media O2, challenge assumptions, drive efficiencies and contribute to audits, controls and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers real exposure, responsibility and the chance to make a visible impact in a fast paced, purpose led organisation.

The must haves:

  • Part qualified or finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience of month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of double entry, journals and accounting principles
  • Experience working in a controlled finance environment with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to analyse and clearly communicate financial information

The other stuff we are looking for:

  • Experience supporting statutory accounts and external audits
  • Exposure to IFRS, including lease accounting
  • Strong Excel skills and an interest in developing data analysis capability
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the confidence to challenge and suggest better ways of working
