This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how giffgaff connects with its audience through content, storytelling and experiences. As Publisher and Activations Director, you will set the vision for a brand-new Publishing and Content division, bringing together strategy, production and commercialisation into one cohesive, high-impact function. Sitting at the heart of the marketing organisation, you’ll influence how the brand shows up across every touchpoint, ensuring a consistent, compelling voice that drives both engagement and growth.

You’ll lead the creation of a modern, scalable content ecosystem, where ideas are developed once and amplified effectively across channels. From building a sophisticated content syndication model to unlocking new revenue streams through partnerships and sponsorships, you’ll balance creativity with commercial outcomes. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the delivery of standout activations spanning digital and physical experiences, while building and inspiring a high-performing team to deliver against ambitious transformation goals.

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

  • Extensive experience operating at Director level within publishing, media, or brand-side content environments
  • Proven track record of monetising content, media or events through partnerships and sponsorships
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue-generating opportunities
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in developing and scaling content strategies across multiple channels

We'd also love you to bring:

  • Experience building new functions or transforming content and publishing models
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel activations, including digital and physical experiences
  • Ability to balance creative storytelling with commercial delivery
  • Experience working with external partners, suppliers or agencies to deliver scalable solutions
