Are you both a skilful writer and a passionate content designer? It’s an exciting time to join giffgaff’s Experience Design team as a Content Designer. You’ll be right at the heart of our product teams, shaping journeys that help millions of members get what they need — clearly, simply, and in a way that feels unmistakably giffgaff.

From onboarding to everyday interactions, you’ll craft content that shows up in the right place at the right time, working closely with Product Designers, Product Owners, researchers, stakeholders, and our copywriters. You’ll also get stuck into marketing, social, promotions, and customer comms, helping bring our friendly, human voice to life across the whole member journey.

This role blends thoughtful content design with strong writing craft. You’ll be a careful wordsmith (grammar lovers welcome), confident using research and insight to shape your work, and passionate about accessibility and inclusive language. You’ll build great relationships, champion content across the business, and help keep raising the bar for experience design at giffgaff.

We’re also excited about how AI can support modern content design, so you’ll be curious about using AI tools to speed up ideation, analysis, and creation — always guided by human judgement and our brand voice. Our bright and modern gaff is in Uxbridge, in leafy West London. But if commuting isn't for you, most of our roles can be hybrid or remote, or anywhere in between.

The must haves

  • Strong full-time writing experience (we’re open to all levels)
  • Have an understanding of the product delivery process
  • Comfortable using data to make content design decisions
  • Forensic about the outcomes of the content you’ve crafted
  • A good understanding of Figma
  • A strong understanding of content design and UX writing principles
  • Fascinated by (and experienced in) content testing, in all its forms
  • Confident applying brand tone of voice end-to-end, from microcopy to long form

The other stuff we are looking for

  • Experience working with product designers and product developers
  • Knowledge of the telco business
