As an Engineering Manager at giffgaff, you will be at the heart of building high performing teams that create products used by millions of members every day. You will lead one or two engineering teams responsible for highly visible, customer facing experiences across our mobile products, combining people leadership with delivery ownership to help us continue disrupting the industry in true giffgaff style. This role is all about enabling others to do their best work. You will partner closely with Product Managers, represent your teams with stakeholders, and create an environment where people feel safe to experiment, learn and grow. While this is not a hands on coding role, you will bring strong technical credibility, contributing to architectural discussions, championing best practices and helping shape technical direction that supports both team and business goals.
Location: Uxbridge, West London. Hybrid or remote options are available.

Qualifications – Must Haves:
- Experience managing and developing software engineers, with accountability for engagement and progression.
- Proven delivery leadership, working closely with product partners in an agile environment.
- Strong technical credibility with the ability to contribute to architectural and design discussions.
- Experience owning team outcomes and delivery across one or more engineering teams.
Qualifications – Nice-to-Have:
- Experience leading or contributing to wider engineering or people change initiatives.
- Familiarity with modern software practices such as TDD, pairing and event driven architectures.
- Experience working in high performing, continuous delivery environments.
- Confidence representing engineering teams with senior stakeholders.
