Responsibilities

  • Support the Military Department team in fulfilling customer orders alongside learning the key skills required to become a competent, Savile Row standard Finisher specialising in Military finishing.
  • General military tailoring (with an emphasis on Naval uniforms) from medal mounting, sleeve and shoulder ranking, sewing on badges and basic alterations.
  • The role is mainly military uniform based but Bespoke garment finishing such as handsewn buttonholes, felling, prick stitching, hand rolled pockets squares, frogging and small repairs will also be part of the training.
  • There will be opportunity to learn the customer facing side of the department if that is something the candidate is interested in. There will be times when customer facing help is required for certain Royal Household related duties.
