GIC Real Estate is the Real Estate (RE) arm of GIC, investing in real estate and real estate-related assets outside of Singapore. We manage a well-diversified portfolio covering over 40 countries in property sectors such as offices, retail, hotels, residential, industrial, niche sectors and companies. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Real Estate team as Analyst / Associate in London – focusing on credit and hybrid investments across the capital structure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analysing, structuring, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence, underwriting and legal documentation.
  • Assume primary role in financial modelling of transactions with assistance from deal lead.
  • Assist with preparation of Investment Committee papers for submission to senior investment staff.
  • Work with third party managers in the evaluation of eligible transactions.
  • Provide assistance to senior team members in business development, relationship management and manager performance monitoring.
  • Provide assistance with the asset management and performance monitoring of existing loan positions and ensure timely and accurate reporting is submitted to control functions and senior management.

Requirements

  • A good university degree preferably in the area of finance, accounting or banking or a STEM subject.
  • Relevant experience, preferably in real estate debt financing, debt capital markets, structured finance or corporate banking.
  • Good understanding of financial structures and ability to communicate complex, abstract and/or difficult messages in simple, clear manner.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and meticulous with details and accurate with numbers.
  • Good ability to collaborate with managers in designing effective presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, with knowledge of Bloomberg being a desirable skill.
  • Possess an analytical mind and is a committed team player.
  • Is results oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlines.
