GGM Group Ltd, a leading supplier of Agriculture and Groundscare machinery, are looking to expand their team of engineers. GGM currently have 3 depots covering the North of England, and the role will be predominantly field based. Experience of working on our range of products and the ability to work on your own initiative is required.
You will be working on a wide variety of machinery and equipment that we supply including tractors, commercial mowers, utility vehicles, golf machinery, and chippers/shredders.
Duties to include:
- Carrying out a range of technical work from routine service and maintenance to repair and diagnostic work to pre‑delivery inspections.
- Using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic systems and methods to complete repair and maintenance jobs.
- Working closely with the Parts Department to accurately select the required parts.
- Accurately completing all relevant job reports on a daily basis (Electronic based).
- Undertaking training to develop skills and knowledge including new products and services offered by manufacturers.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years post apprenticeship experience in the groundscare/agriculture industry (experience from any major dealership is valued).
- Level 3 land based engineering (highly desirable but not essential for the right experienced candidate).
- Ability to diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs.
- Ability to follow technical manuals and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Expert knowledge of hydraulic systems, including Hydrostatic Transmission.
- Deep understanding of diesel and petrol engines (Stage V emissions knowledge is a plus).
- Competent in 12v systems, diagnostics, and reading wiring diagrams.
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Be able to organise your day to complete jobs efficiently.
- Be self‑motivated, have good communication skills, and have a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Ability to adhere to health & safety practices and procedures.
- The ability to work as a team or individually.
- Full UK driving license.
Job Type: Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week (additional overtime available)
