We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager ideally from the Motorsports industry to lead on new projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering-focused projects.
The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget, and maintaining alignment with organisational goals.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential to drive collaboration and manage stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Projects your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Plan, coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion, defining scope, objectives, budgets, timelines and risk mitigation to ensure successful delivery.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, working closely with technical leads to drive collaboration, accountability and the successful achievement of project objectives.
- Oversee project delivery by monitoring progress, performance, budgets and schedules, proactively resolving issues to keep projects on track.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing clear communication, regular updates and effective management of expectations.
- Coordinate and optimise the use of people, tools, materials and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure projects are completed to the required quality, on time and within scope, capturing lessons learned and completing all project close-out activities.
- What we are looking for
As well as a passion for performance, innovation, and competition you will also have some of the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is advantageous (Engineering, Project Management etc.)
- Proven experience leading projects, preferably within an engineering or technical environment ideally with the performance powertrain development field.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e. g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e. g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Certification in project management (e. g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and focus on delivering results.
