Cognesense is a global environmental technology company that turns physical measurements into defensible intelligence for regulated operators.

Built on heritage brands whose products customers have relied on for over a century, Cognesense engineers trusted intelligence from the physical world.

We are growing our UK field sales team and are recruiting Regional Sales Managers for territories across England and Wales who have proven B2B technical sales experience in:

Each Regional Sales Manager owns all commercial activity in their territory, across every Cognesense brand.

You’ll open accounts, map customer sites and grow market share, starting by finding the customer's compliance problem, then bring in the solutions that fix it.

You'll need enough technical depth to be credible with plant engineers, safety managers and EPC contractors.

You won't need to be an expert in any one product -our Product Specialists back you up on the detail.

Environmental: Noise, dust and vibration monitoring and biogas safety for wastewater and anaerobic digestion sites, from Sonitus and Shand & Jurs Biogas.

What you'll do

  • Own bookings, margin and growth in your territory across every brand.
  • Open new accounts ensuring Cognesense is written into specifications before projects go to bid.
  • Lead major tenders and large deals from pre-qualification to award.
  • Work all three routes to market: end users, EPC contractors and distributors.
  • Keep an honest, current pipeline and forecast in CRM. What you'll bring
  • Substantial B2B technical sales experience in process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, terminals, water or power
  • A working knowledge of ATEX / IECEx and hazardous-area zoning
  • A track record of multi-product, consultative selling: opening accounts, mapping sites and growing market share
  • A self-directed approach, with disciplined CRM and forecasting habits
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within your territory, and a full UK driving licence Strong advantage: exposure to instrumentation, tank storage or environmental compliance.
